The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 was to be Samsung’s answer to the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2. However, if it has any chance of beating the upcoming titans Samsung will have to work on the Galaxy Tab series on many fronts. For example, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 WXGA panel is no match for the retina display boasted on the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2. The software integration of the iOS 7 is far better than the Android system on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Updates on the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad 5 are instantaneous and error-free whereas the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3’s Android system is still struggling to smooth the kinks. In terms of design, Samsung seems to have improved from the Galaxy Tab 2 but again, the upcoming iPads are going to be based on the design of the iPad Mini – slim, thin, and light. Samsung is going to have its work cut out to try and match up to the high tablet standards set by Apple. Considering they have stolen a large chunk of the market in the smartphone department it shouldn’t be impossible.
