Nothing is a brain child of OnePlus’ co-founder Carl Pei. Having secured investments worth $22 million, the company is working towards the launch of its first product – Nothing TWS Earbuds. The company has previously revealed that it was planning to launch a range of smart devices in the first half of 2021. Its latest teaser is a concept design for TWS earbuds.
Nothing’s Design Philosophy
The London based Nothing’s TWS earbuds will include elements that exhibit a lack of “unnecessary branding” and will be designed using transparent materials to bring out the rawness. Nothing claims its shape takes inspiration from, of all things – a grandmother’s tobacco pipe. The product’s look is intended to represent the company’s overall design philosophy. Carl Pie truly believes that Nothing brand can disrupt the consumer tech space with innovative, unique products. Pei has also accepted that this outward prototype, created by Nothing’s new Head of Design Tom Howard is not planned to see the light of day as a product. According to CarlPei, the aim of nothing is to bring in technology to the essentials and to embrace raw tech. His company aims to remove everything superficial and to focus exclusively on what adds true value to the user experience. Design partner Teenage Engineering is behind the Concept 1 TWS earbuds. The vison of the brand is to create noticeable technology that empowers everyone to be more human. The aim is to offer products in shapes that look natural and warm. Nothing TWS earbuds are said to be simple and intuitive, wherein every byte and every gram lives with purpose.Unlike other truly wireless earbuds available, the internals of the Concept 1 is visible from the outside, thus making them stand apart.The company has not given any specific date or month of release of Nothing TWS earbuds.
