If you are near or over your monthly cellular data limit, then you might decide to turn off cellular data on your Galaxy On5 to prevent any overage charges from occurring. Our guide below will show you where to find the setting that can completely disable cellular data usage on your device.
How to Disable Cellular Data Usage in Android Marshmallow
The steps below are going to turn off a setting and prevent you from using any cellular data on your Galaxy On5. This means you will not be able to browse the Internet, stream music, check email, or perform any other action that requires data usage. You will still be able to do all of those things if you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, but not on a cellular network. If you would prefer to only turn off cellular data when you are roaming, then this guide will show you a separate setting where you can control that option. Step 1: Open the Apps tray.
Step 2: Tap the Settings button.
Step 3: Select the Data usage option.
Step 4: Touch the button to the right of Mobile data to turn it off.
Step 5: Select the OK option to confirm that you understand the reduced capabilities of the device on a cellular network.
