The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 6 Plus, in iOS 9. These steps may vary slightly for other iOS versions. This guide assumes that you have set up iCloud on your iPhone, and that you currently have a backup of your iPhone that is saved to iCloud. If you tap the backup if will open an Info screen that shows you more information about the backup, plus includes a list of items that you can elect to include or not include with the backup. You can also delete and turn off backups by tapping the Delete Backup button at the bottom of the screen.
