Viewers can stream several classics including shows from the likes of Andrew Lloyd Weber on the platform for free. The platform is updating its list of available shows on a daily basis. Some of the latest additions to its list include Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musicals, Chichester Festival Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Wooster Group’s Hamlet, etc.

TubiTV

Online users can also stream some exclusive award-winning films on Tubi TV for free. The platform boasts of thousands of free, ad-supported movies and TV shows that are not even available on subscription-based services like Netflix, Hulu, or Prime. Tubi TV largely owes its wide variety of quality content to its partnerships with studios such as MGM, Paramount, Lionsgate, and the Weinstein Company. Furthermore, the platform also partners with TV networks like ITV, Starz, and Sky to host several popular TV shows.

National Theatre in London

In times of current lockdown, the National Theatre in London has also introduced an initiative to offer free content online from its archives.  The project would include online streaming of one of the shows from National Theatre Live collection of filmed live productions on YouTube every Thursday for two months. The project began with Richard Bean’s “One Man, Two Guvnors” on April 2, 2020. As per the current confirmed schedule, following shows are set to be released on upcoming Thursdays-

9th April: Jane Eyre16th April: Treasure Island23rd April: Twelfth Night (starring Tamsin Greig)

Metropolitan Opera

Besides its gloomy part, the current lockdown has just brought you a chance to enjoy the Opera experience while sitting at your home.  Metropolitan Opera is hosting a series of “Nightly Met Opera Streams” on its official website in an attempt to continue providing ‘some grand opera solace’ to opera lovers in these extraordinarily difficult times. It would be releasing a new piece every night from its collection of HD presentations from the past 14 years, beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be available to stream for 20 hours. Nightly Met Opera Streams have so far featured some of the timeless classics such as Carmen, La Bohème, and La Traviata.
