JioBook runs on the custom Android version known as JioOS. This version is meant for laptops specifically. It can access all apps in the Microsoft suite and comes bundled with Microsoft 365 services as Jio partnered with Microsoft for this. Specifications and features

It has a compact body with an 11.6-inch display with 1366×768 pixels HD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. There is no information on the screen brightness levels though. There is a 2MP webcam to facilitate video calling and the audio is maintained by the dual 1.0W speakers. The best part is that it has a SIM card slot and the peripherals include a 3.5mm headphone jack and two USB ports. Connections could be made using HDMI mini, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi. The laptop is powered by a mid-range ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and Adreno 610 GPU. The chip was launched in 2019 and is based on an 11nm process. It scores 170000+ on AnTuTu. The internal storage space is 32 GB and can be expanded up to 128 GB. It comes with a 5000 mAh battery and as per Jio’s claim, it can last up to eight hours on a single charge. Pricing and variants

When it was introduced on a government marketplace online a few weeks back, it was priced at Rs.19500. But surprisingly the retail version costs just Rs.15,799. For now, there is only one variant available for this product. Hopefully, Jio will come up with more variants shortly. JioBook is available on both online and offline Reliance Digital stores. And with different bank offers and discounts, the product can be purchased at a lower price further.
