The look and feel of the software will be one of the major changes users will see after installing the update. A company official noted that with MIUI 12, the animation renders differently and stretches more swiftly across the screen as the user taps on any application. The change is particularly visible in Xiaomi smartphone models which have rounded corners. She further added that the graphical improvement can be largely credited to the new rendering engine in the company’s kernel-level innovation offering. Xiaomi has enabled Gaussian blur and colour blending. It further enables users to view in real time the different degrees of blurring as light penetrates different materials.
